Request for Information Session
We provide information sessions free of charge to community groups (with an audience of 20 people or more).
These may be on a variety of topics, such as:
- The services available from the Legal Services Commission
- Getting legal help?
- Advance directives and wills
- Family law and you
- Consumer and debt law
Information sessions are subject to the level of demand from community groups and the corresponding availability of presenters. As such, the sooner you can provide us with your request, the more likely that we will be able to accommodate it. We recommend that you provide us with your request no less than 8 weeks in advance, using the request form below.
Presenters are generally available from Monday to Friday between 9:30 and 4:00pm. This allows for travel to and from outside venues. Video webcast conferencing may be arranged for community groups in country areas with appropriate local resources.
If English is not the first language of the participants, please advise what, if any, arrangements have been made for an interpreter.
Please note that if your session is for a group that falls within one of our targeted programs (migrants, young people or those with a disability), you are welcome to contact the Legal Education Officer responsible for that program.
Thank you for contacting the Legal Services Commission.
