Library ServicesThe John Gray Memorial Library at the Legal Services Commission provides a comprehensive information and research service to Commission staff, as well as library services to community agencies and private practitioners acting on legal aid assignments. The library has a wide range of hard copy and electronic resources. Private lawyers are welcome to use the library's resources and services for the duration of their legal aid matter. Simply quote your legal aid file number at the time of your request. Practitioners can use the library facilities themselves, but access must be arranged with the library staff in advance. Sufficient notice for all requests is appreciated. Services for Commission staff will take priority over those for private practitioners. Library staff can provide copies of cases or legislation, or, where priorities allow, conduct more detailed research. Charges may apply to some services. Requests may be made by phone or fax, but we prefer email. ** Please note that our preference is to send materials to you electronically via email. Please contact Di Thompson on 8463 3688 (email di.thompson@sa.gov.au) or Ros Emms on 8463 3687 (email ros.emms@sa.gov.au) for more information. Our fax number is 8463 6566. |
