The annual Courts Open Day will be taking place on Saturday 12 May 2012, at the Sir Samuel Way Building, Victoria Square between 10.00am and 3.00pm.

The Courts Open Day is free. It provides an opportunity to experience places not usually open to the public - like holding cells and jury deliberation rooms. There are also many interactive activities and displays. Mock trials will be held in the morning and afternoon allowing members of the public to participate as a juror.

The Commission will have a display at the Courts Open Day with posters, pamphlets and other information about our work - so come and find out how the Commission can assist you.

We will have staff rostered to attend the display, handle simple enquiries from the public and distribute pamphlets.

The Commission provides free legal advice, assistance, referrals and representation to the community - so say hello, ask a legal question or pick up a free brochure.
